GeMa cooperation with Lebenshilfe Kärnten

The GeMa shop went online on March 24th, 2024. Within just a few days, a lot of GeMa sticks had already been bought, which of course makes us very happy. The “handmade bags by Jessi and Lisi” were also well received. Currently, we only have a few left in stock - it's getting tight. As already announced, once we have sold 100 stick bags, we intend to hand over further production to Lebenshilfe Kärnten as a work project. Now the time has come. The workshop at Bahnstrasse 42 offers people with special needs the opportunity to do meaningful work. It also accepts commissioned work and is proud to produce high-quality, handmade products. With this cooperation, we want to set an example of social and societal responsibility. After we discussed the implementation and Lebenshilfe Kärnten worked out an offer for us, we are happy that the cooperation has finally come about. The income from the workshop benefits the people who work there. That is why the cane bags will no longer be available at the low-cost entry-level price of 5.30 euros per piece. The workshop employees are talented and passionate, so we are really pleased that we have found cooperation partners in Mr. Daniel Rieger-Pirker and the many committed people with whom we can realize and further expand our heart project: "By people, with people and for people." For people with physical and/or mental disabilities, employment has an essential place in their lives. Not only the financial aspect, but also the identity-forming aspect is in the foreground. Pursuing a meaningful activity is also strengthening and satisfies the need for recognition and to be needed. The workshop on Bahnstrasse is a place of creativity and commitment where everyone has the chance to develop their potential. We were happy to commission this Lebenshilfe workshop to produce the next 100 cane bags. By ordering a cane bag, you are making a valuable contribution so that we can continue this project with Lebenshilfe Kärnten in the future.

“We are strong when we stick together: the strong and the weak, the young and the old. (Kurt Tucholsky)

Thank you very much
